Teen Dance – Cancelled T4

Teen Partner Dancing will not take place (Fridays at YMCA North Shore) in term 4 as we did not gain enough registrations to proceed.

This has always been super popular so we are guessing exams and other commitments have prohibited some teens from joining.

We will try again in the new year to gain interest – which will ensure teens get some dance skills in prep for the Homeschool Ball mid-year. 🙂

DanceFit – Term 4 Registrations

Please visit HASCA https://hasca.wordpress.com/dancefit/ for detailed information.

DanceFit

Ages 5-9/10 years
Thursdays, 1.30-2.00pm
Venue: North Shore YMCA, 5 Akoranga Drive – Dance Studio (upstairs)

DanceFit is a non-partner dance programme for boys and girls, which links physical activity with mental activeness.

Research shows the concentration, coordination and self-control needed while learning to dance, helps with other subjects.
DanceFit incorporates balance, timing and stretching. Engaging your muscles helps with balance. The children warm up with balancing steps, which are fun and challenging.
They then learn basic stretches and the importance of stretching. Taryn also teaches why counting and staying in time with the music helps with the overall dance performance.
Taryn teaches her dance programmes in schools as part of their regular PE programme. Her dance routines are fun and full of energy.

Please visit HASCA https://hasca.wordpress.com/dancefit/ for detailed information and term 4 dates and fees.
