Thursday Netball – Skills, Drills, Teamwork & Fun!

Netball Skills & Drills runs as part of the Thursday HASCA Hub Programme.
Join us weekly at the North Shore YMCA!

This is a fun netball programme for homeschooled students that takes place on Thursdays at the HASCA Hub venue (YMCA North Shore) for 7 to 8 weeks each term. The programme is coordinated by Nina, and the netball classes are coached by homeschooling parents Jason, Liz, and Megan – all of whom love seeing students of any ability enjoying sports, and in this case, netball. Some (senior) sessions during the term may also be taught by a dedicated Netball North Harbour coach who runs the class at Netball North Harbour in Northcote, outdoor courts.

Current Session Times:
CLASS 1: 11:00am to 12:00pm, Thursday HASCA Hub, YMCA Stadium Ct2
Netball Skills & Drills with Jason for intermediate & high school-aged homeschoolers

The class consists of warmup, exercise and stretching, and various netball skills each week, and we then
spend half the session playing a full-court netball game with two teams.

Any level of experience can join in (we have complete beginners through to experienced netballers in
the class). It’s fun, builds teamwork, and teaches the relevant netball skills and drills.

Homeschooled students, ages 11 through teens, boys and girls, can join the class for fun and exercise or use it to build their skills in the game! Join us for some fun, fitness, and friendship!

CLASS 2: 12:00pm to 1:00pm, Thursday HASCA Hub, YMCA Stadium Ct2
Primary Netball Skills with Megan for primary-aged homeschooled students 7-10 years

Come along and have some fun learning netball skills with Megan. We will be on the look out for children wanting to play for HASCA homeschool netball teams in 2024 – how exciting – or you can just come along each week for fitness, fun, and friendship!

The venue requires all under 15s to have a parent/guardian remain on site; thank you.
Students of all skill levels and abilities are welcome. 
Senior class is for ages 11 and over. The new Junior class is for 6-10 years.
