HASCA Members’ Library: Homeschool Library North Shore

The Homeschool Library is managed & supported under the HASCA umbrella & as such, YOU benefit! 

Our Homeschool Library houses hundreds of fabulous books: reference books, novels, storybooks, plus games, audiobooks, DVDs, and popular home education curricula and resources. A real treasure chest of goodies! Our small, hard-working team of parent volunteers update and upgrade resources regularly. We welcome members to help out with the library, even if just for half an hour on a Thursday; many hands make light work. Please contact us if you are willing to gift some time.

The homeschool library is for HASCA members and is housed at the North Shore YMCA, Akoranga Drive, Northcote. The library can be accessed during HASCA’s Thursday Hub programme only (11AM to 4PM), which runs 7-8 weeks each term; the homeschool library closes over the term break to allow for general housekeeping, so returns are expected before the end of each Hub term, please (unless other arrangements have been made with the library coordinator).

Library membership is included in your annual HASCA family membership. HASCA membership application is super easy to do; simply complete the online membership form (making sure you enter your homeschooling exemption number) and press submit.

HASCA also runs a Scholastic Book Club for all home educators, not just members, which greatly benefits our Library through rewards!

  • We welcome member feedback! Let us know if you’d like anything particular added to the homeschool library and our committee will consider it.
  • We welcome donations of amazing resources (still in great condition) which you have enjoyed using with your family and want to share with others.
  • We welcome our valued HASCA members to make use of this wonderful resource!
