Ballet Academy
Homeschool Ballet with Debbie de Beer
Ballet Academy runs as part of the Thursday HASCA Hub Programme.
Join us weekly at the North Shore YMCA!
Debbie de Beer Dance Academy provides ballet lessons for home-educated students, toddlers (3+) to teens and all in between, and runs weekly at the Thursday HASCA Hub, YMCA, 5 Akoranga Drive, Northcote, in the upstairs dance studio. Debbie is an ex-homeschooling mum and passionate tutor.
Debbie’s approach is to inspire children to love ballet and musical expression rather than to meet grading requirements or sit exams. Therefore, the focus of these classes is on teaching ballet skills and techniques, musicality, coordination and performance in a fun and non-pressure way.
As well as learning the fundamentals of ballet through fun and relaxed dance exercises, children will also work towards a performance at the end of the year to show family and friends all they have learned.
For Ballet class options for homeschooled students of all ages and abilities, please contact Debbie de Beer at debbiedebeerdanceacademy@gmail.com. Alternatively, view the Thursday HASCA Hub programme, as we offer a large variety of classes each week.

HASCA does not directly run this activity; however, Debbie’s Ballet classes have been part of the Thursday HASCA Hub programme for many years. We are delighted to recommend, promote, and support Debbie’s ballet classes as she is a lovely lady, and a kind, patient, and passionate dance instructor. Additionally, Debbie was a homeschooling parent and is a long-standing contributor to the HASCA community. Please support these wonderful classes through your participation!
