NEW South Auckland class on Wednesdays! Plus, North Shore class on Thursdays!

North Shore Social Studies Class:

PRIMARY/INTERMEDIATE LEVEL HOMESCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES CLASSES 2019 * NORTH SHORE *

When: Thursdays 12.00pm-1.00pm starting 25 July (9 week term)

Where: Northcote YMCA, Akoranga Drive, Northcote

Who: Home educated students aged 5-13 (Years 1-8). If older students wish to attend, they will be welcome. Younger students will need parent input.

What: Would you like your child to learn about world geography and history? These classes teach both subjects in a relaxed atmosphere, with conversation and lots of fun, as well as some great learning going on. There is little writing, although worksheets will be available for parents/students to take home if they wish to study the topic further. In term 3 we are focusing on a country of the world (not yet decided). We will learn about the physical geography, demographics, language, flora and fauna, people groups, culture, clothing, food, landmarks, and lives of the people who live there, and so on.

Parents are welcome to either stay to help or leave their children.

Fees (9 weeks):
$67.50 per student (HASCA members)
$72.50 per student (non-HASCA members)
Casual rate $8 per student per session

South Auckland Social Studies Class:

When: Wednesdays 11.00am-12.00pm starting 24 July (8 week term, skipping 21 August)

Where: Nathan Homestead, 70 Hill Road, Manurewa

Who: Home educated students aged 8-13 (Years 4-8). If older students wish to attend, or younger students with a parent, they will be welcome.

What: Would you like your child to learn about world geography and history? These classes teach both subjects in a relaxed atmosphere, with conversation and lots of fun, as well as some great learning going on. They include plenty of hands on activities. There is little writing, although worksheets will be available for parents/students to take home if they wish to study the topic further. In term 3 we are focusing on a country of the world (not yet decided).
