An exciting and fun KiwiSports Programme for homeschooled kids!

Jason Sadler, a local homeschooling dad, runs the Homeschool KiwiSports Programme on Thursdays at North Shore YMCA. He  is passionate about our homeschooling community, loves sports, and what sports can bring to children. Jason and his daughter have been involved in the KiwiSports Programme for many terms (and running it since term 4 2019) and have some exciting plans for its future. A fun programme and variety of sport is offered each week, and some weeks Jason is joined by his good friend (and childrens’ play specialist) James. Participating families love the new-look KiwiSports programme! You will too! Come along on Thursdays and give it a go!

What:  An exciting smorgasbord of sports!

There are so many sports out there, how do you choose just one? You don’t have to! The Homeschool KiwiSports Programme lets you taste them all. On the menu will be sports such as: Soccer, Volleyball, Netball, Tennis, Handball, Hockey, and MANY other exciting options.

Participants of any skill level are welcome. The children will gain fundamental skills while having a blast. Jason says, “My main focus will be that each child has fun, and they learn about the different sports (in that order… fun first!)” So if you’re looking for a fun programme where you can make new friends, try a variety of sports, and learn new skills – this is it!

Who: This programme is aimed at home educated students 5 to 11 years.

Where:  Sports Stadium (gymnasium) @YMCA North Shore, 5 Akoranga Drive, Northcote

Indoors each week! Yes, you can partake all year round without worrying about the weather as this smorgasbord of sports will be served indoors in the YMCA’s gymnasium.

Time:  Thursdays, 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm

Term 4 Fees:
(for 8 x 1 hour sessions of sports)
$53.00    home educated students – non-members
$48.00    home educated students – HASCA members
*fees are payable to Jason

Dates:
Term 4 2019 … Thursday 17th October – 5th December 2019 (8 weeks)
Term 1 2020 … Thursday 13th February – 2nd April 2020 (8 weeks)

Please note – there is a NO DROP AND RUN policy at this venue. Please ensure a ‘go to parent’ is available for your child and remaining on site, or discuss with programme instructor. Thank  you.
