Let’s learn KAPA HAKA ~ Māori performing arts!

What: Homeschool KAPA HAKA
Come and learn some traditional and contemporary Māori song & dance items.
Learn more of Māori culture & language along the way.
A poi making session will be included.
The group will work towards an end of year concert.

Where: Classes will be held at the North Shore YMCA, 5 Akoranga Drive (upstairs dance studio)

When – Time & Dates:
Term 4 2019: Tuesdays, 12 noon to 1:00pm (just prior to Homeschool Gymnastics), 15th October to 3rd December 2019 (8 week term)
Term 1 2020: Thursdays 12 noon to 1:00pm, commencing 13th February 2020  (running weekly just prior to Te Reo Maori language classes)

Term fee: $55.00pp standard rate / $50.00pp HASCA-member rate

Tutor: Tina Talaic is passionate about sharing Māori culture and excited about leading homeschool Kapa Haka.

In Term 1 2020, the Homeschool Kapa Haka group will move to a Thursday 12:00 to 1:00pm at the North Shore YMCA.
A new
Te Reo class will run 1:00 to 2:00pm, alongside other language classes and activities.

HASCA does not directly run this programme. Coordinator, Sharon Dove is a HASCA committee member and homeschooling mum who enjoys providing awesome learning opportunities for home educated kids. We’d like to thank Sharon for her efforts in providing this programme, and Tina Talaic for her passion and vision for teaching the Homeschool Kapa Haka group & Te Reo.
