History Yr5-8

History with Kate Dunn

vikings

For home educated students 8-12yrs (Yr5-8)

Ever wondered about the vikings? How they lived, what they believed, where they went and why they wore those ridiculous horned helmets? Here’s a tip – they didn’t actually wear those! That’s just one of the things we’ll learn in term 2 as we look at the history of these fascinating people. We’ll study their lives and society, their towns and homes, food and clothing, ships and exploration, hierarchies and myths, and much more. Each week we’ll learn about different aspects of their world with lots of fun and educational activities.

Parents are welcome to either stay to help or leave their children.

Kate’s art class runs weekly out of the North Shore YMCA to coincide with other HASCA and homeschool activities which happen there each week! (See ‘What’s On?!’ )

Kate is a wonderful teacher and an excellent communicator. Be encouraged to try her classes – your children will thoroughly enjoy them!
